About this Project
In this project, I designed a dust jacket for Ray Bradbury's book "All Summer in a Day." This science fiction story takes place on Venus, where children eagerly await the sun's appearance, which occurs only once every seven years. The narrative explores themes of nostalgia, isolation, and the power of nature. In my book cover design, I emphasize the sun and the children as central elements, using warm and cool tones to evoke the story's themes and reflect the children's feelings during the rare moments when the sun comes out.

Sketches:
We were given a variety of images related to the book, which I sorted and organized according to the subject and focal point of each image. I then began sketching and combining the different images into one cohesive book cover design.
